This is the third floor of the Walker Center. This picture was taken one week from move in day. At this point it was looking pretty impossible but at the posting of this photo our client is in, up and running and we are down to punch listing. I must say though, it was nuts!July 20
Here is a studio shot mid-process on a some paintings headed to PD. Nothing like the smell of oil paint and damar varnish in the morning!
July 15
Paintings in process. I set them in the sun to speed the drying of the oil paint. I had one of the residents of the VA housing down from us knock on the door and ask if they were "Up for grabs". He was no longer interested when I told him. "Sure if he wanted to buy them." I've always wondered if I would feel complimented if someone stole one of the paintings I had sitting out front to dry.

This is Nana, one of my favorite photo subjects and one of the most accident prone little girls I know. This is the aftermath of a "woopsie" that is going to keep her out of the pool for the rest of the summer. Hang in there II! July 13
Introducing the newest member of the pack "Dodi". He was the pet of a group of the girls that run around with Michael and David. The girls however, forgot to see if it was ok with their parents. After bouncing around from house to house he landed with us. M&D told their friends. "Don't worry our Mom will let us have him!" After he climbed into Jane's arms to sleep the first night he was at the house, he became a permanent member of the family. Oh yeah, Happy Birthday Babe! xoxoxo

Annie has been teaching dance at Danz-4-Ever, the dance studio in Centerville where the little girls have been taking dance. This summer Annie ran "Princess Camp" and they needed a bean bag toss game so. . . . . .I got recruited. She said that the girls loved tossing bean bags into the frog's mouth but that she couldn't keep the little "princesses" from kissing him.

This is a blanket cabinet for the Idaho Falls, Idaho Temple. Not the most exciting piece of furniture but still fun to be a part of all that.

Now we are back to flowers from the front yard. These flower pictures remind me of one of my favorite quotes. It is from Georgia O'Keeffe, a american artist known for her paintings of flowers. It is "I hate flowers. I only paint them because they're cheaper than models and they don't move."July 4

On the drive back from Denver I stopped to stretch my legs at a rest stop. There was an entire family of these little guys out begging for junk food from everyone at the stop. I gave them the last of my potato chips. I am guessing that they are the best fed ground squirrels in Wyoming.

I drove to Denver to deliver a table to the temple there. It was kind of funny, though I had taken clothes to change into for the installation, the temple engineer was wanting to leave for the day so he said what I had on was fine. I walked a 52" table into the center of the temple wearing shorts and flip flops. That was a first!

Emma swimming with the fishes. Last time I was out at Utah Koi, Robin asked me if I would like to bring my daughters back to get in the pond with the koi. Katherine opted out of it but Emma was game. The large black and white koi she is playing with is named "Puppy" and he would swim circles around Emma and nuzzle her, well, like a puppy. I think that Robin said that puppy was more than 20 years old. I took a bunch of pictures but this one shows the interaction between Emma and the Koi the best.June 24
One of the paintings that made its' way to Scotland. By default I guess I'm now an "international artist." This is a very small painting about 4" x 4" I think. This post will show it at almost life size.

As a part of the wedding activities, Raymo's family threw a party at Fat Cats. It was pizza and bowling till we could no longer stand. This is Peter, my oldest son showing his form on the lanes.June 18
This is Emma at the state gymnastics meet. She did very well scoring second over all! This is her hand stand to dismount.

This is a detail of the large koi painting I have been working on. It is almost done. When I was in school I asked one of my professors how I would know when a painting was complete. He said. "When it stops talking to you." I think I am close with this one.
