March 4

For art class today I taught the kids about the "photography triangle" of apature, shutter speed and ISO. Then we went into the cove and they all took turns playing models and photographers. I am not sure but I think that I did infact shoot this one but then again it could have been shot by one of the students too. . . . . . My Katherine, once again those eyes! She has the prettiest eyes.

March 3

Dee's sisters dogs. They may look happy but I think they were ready to rip my arm off.

March 2

I had to google phragmites to find out what it was they were burning. The locked gates kept me from getting any closer but the result is still a great photo.

March 1

Install day for the ModusLink conference table. 18' long and 8' wide. We were very relieved that it fit in the room.

February 28

One of my more "artsy fartsy" shots, but I kinda like it.

February 27

Jane has a new favorite store and hauled me along for the ride. I don't recall what it was called but it was full of women and bolts of fabric. I could tell by the looks on the faces of the girls working at the store that they were wondering who the weirdo with the camera was and why is he taking close up pictures of our fabric. I am almost over being self conscious about dragging a camera with me and taking pictures every where I go, but not quite yet.

February 26

Emma showing her "ripped" hand. Blistered hands are all in a days work for a gym rat.

February 25

While Emma was at her sewing class Katherine and I went for a short hike above the cove. It had snowed that morning and the storms rolled in and out all day. The sun had melted the snow but it froze again before it fell from the trees. Caught this as a new wave of clouds was rolling in.

February 24

This cube sits on the book case behind my desk chair. Who knew what that little girl would grow up into. Not sure why I like this photo so much, but I do. Funny, one of my favorite photos is a photo of a photo.

February 23

I had my camera back in the studio and was shooting a progress shot of a painting I am working on but ended up shooting my air brushes instead. I thought the pile of chrome was kind of cool. I use a lot of air brush when I paint but I do my best not to have it show. I have two Iwata and two Paasche air brushes for those wondering. I have both but I prefer the Paasche just for its general toughness. I am a little hard on my air brushes and they seem to take the abuse better.

February 22

We did a conference table for a company in Provo. They wanted the company logo painted into the top of the table so. . . . . . here it is in progress. A sign company makes a large vinyl negative of the logo that is used as a mask. It is laid on to the painted table, painted and then a clear coat is applied to seal the whole thing and give it its' final gloss. I'll post a final when we get it installed. (I know. . . . . exciting!)

February 21

Our new mobile area rug. I couldn't possibly guess how many times I have tripped over this particular mobile area rug. But it seems to be placed, more often then not, exactly where I seem to be walking.

February 20

Through some strange circumstances the twins ended up with a pair of red eared sliders. The came to us in a bucket so it was off to the pet store to make them a home.
Guess where the cats spend most of their time now. . .

February 19

Emma's first gymnastics meet! She was so excited and I was a nervous wreck! She struggled on her first event (nerves I think) but ROCKED the rest of them, especially floor scoring a 9.45. Way to go Emma!

February 18

Hatter's view of the table set for a tea party Annie threw for her book club

February 17

Found this sign on one of my off road drives above Centerville while the girls were in Hip-hop dance class. Not sure why but the "stay out-stay alive" thing kind of gave me the giggles.

February 16

The tree in the front yard is begining to bud. The first signs of a spring it feels like has been years in coming.

February 15

Yep, shot it right into the bathroom mirror. Just like all the kids with their cell phones. Truth be told I was deathly sick with a cold and I shot a great picture of my red and raw nose. Too "arty" to post though.
