June 7

One of my all time favorite photographs! I found the coolest place ever right here in SLC. I had done a search for koi in Utah and fount "Utah Koi." When I drove to the address at first I thought that I must have written it down wrong. But the note taped to the screen door said. "Utah Koi is located in the back yard. Pleas come around." Sure enough there in the back yard of her home my new friend Robin has a huge pond and some of the coolest koi I have seen! This is the hand of Robin's eight year old grand daughter and one of the larger koi. That's a really big fish!

May 24

I just noticed I left one out. Here it is, a bit out of sequence but here it is just the same.

These two pictures were taken on the same day and at the same time (almost). One in the yard and the other it the view from the drive way. We have winter and spring happening at the same time here in good old SLC.

Emma's vault sequence.

Wow, my biggest gap yet!

May 27

For the past two years Jane and I have searched to find the control box for the front yard sprinklers. After hours of digging and poking around the yard I broke down and rented a pipe locater. I was able to use it to track the electrical wires right to the control box. It was burried 6" down in a flower bed in the front yard. One of these four sprinkler controls had gone bad and the yard had to be in tip top shape for the visit of the soon to be in-laws. It was crazy expensive to rent the pipe finder but I felt way cool using it and (how weak is this) finding that control box has been the highlight of the year so far!

May 26

I am sure I was doing too much wedding stuff today. You should see the list Jane and Annie gave me!

May 25

Today I spent the morining shooting Annie and Raymo's wedding pictures and since I am thinking that I had better not post any of them until after wedding day. . . . . .here is a cool looking picture of the windows to my office for your viewing pleasure. I will replace it with one of the bridals some time after the big day.

May 23

Lady has had a very hard time keeping her kittens fed and keeping any weight on. She was eating eight cans of food a day and still not gaining any weight. Sooooo. . . . . .because she won't wean her kits on her own we invented the "kitty wiener" or weaner. It looks like it is doing the trick though from time to time one of the kittens will crawl into her "shirt" for a little snack. The funniest thing is that she will actually wear it and has not tried to get it off. I just wonder if the other cats in the neighborhood point and make fun.

May 22

One of Emma's team members, Duba, Buda, Gabs, Babs, Gabbert, Cabbage! Getting a big ouch! on her beam dismount. She is planning on being back on the beam by the end of the summer. Go Frank the Tank!

May 21

Must have been paintin'!

May 20

After doing such a large number of very small paintings I figured it was time to start on something a little bigger. I have painted several "Koi" paintings but this school of fish will be unique.

May 19

This is one of the paintings I did for Annie's thank you gifts. I am not sure where this one ended up but it was one of my favorites.

May 18

Helicopters in the front drive.

May 17

It is moving day! Annie is moving into her new place or at least moving a bunch of her stuff into her new place. Raymo will be moving in as soon as he gets here from Scotland and Annie will join him after the wedding! The whole fam. helped out. K, E, M&D, J&J and even G-Betty did a lot.

Lady brought us a treat. She was very proud and more than happy to share. Luckily it had already passed into the happy hunting grounds before she brought it into the house!

"Centerville Rose Garden"

May 11

I found a friend while waiting for the girls to finish up dance. I pulled up to the corral and he (I think, I didn't check) trotted over to where I was standing, posed for a few pictures, then trotted back to where he was. So nice to have cooperative models!

May 8,9,10

I must be either lazy or just way distracted. . .

May 7

Annie has been working on painting some basket drawers for a friend and Charlie couldn't stand not being a part of the event. He planted him self in a drawer and had a snooze

Cheese cake! Howard hosted his scholarship show at the gallery and this is what Georgia brought for the goodies!

May 5

Yikes!

May 4

Annie out working in her "shop." She has decided that setting up her home is much more fun than planning a wedding. She has become quite the furniture refinisher and has filled her apartment with some great stuff!

May 3

This is a little tree we have by the front door. It starts spring with this crazy red and then turns to green by the end of spring.

May 2

Flowers growing in the rocks on the hill above Sky Line Drive.

Seth's hands. He is masking for a color shift that will go on the tops of the consoles for the Laie Hawaii temple.

April 25

Yesterday I shot over 25oo photographs of the Danz 4 Ever girls. Today I shot just one. The trees at H&B's are just begining to bud.

April 24

My dancing girl Katherine in her R-E-S-P-E-C-T out fit. She was on the dance team and competed all year. She did very well and now we have to figure out where to put all the trophies! And some of those things are huge!

April 23

I was setting up for a shoot and needed a model to test my lights. Katherine posed for me. Yep, she is nine!

April 22

Sam with Sterling.

April 21

One of Salt Lake's locals. I asked him if I could take some pictures and he said that would be great! I shot a few then he asked me if I would like him to spin! I took several shots of him spinning. I asked him the blunt question of what he was. He is a Sufi. I had to look it up, it is a demension of Islam and in their order they spin as a part of their worship. The Sufi are also know as Dervishes. So today, I had a whirling dervish, whirl for me.

My number one grand son needed a shark painted on his cast. A couple of weeks ago he took a tumble off of a fence he was sitting on. He stuck out his hand to catch himself and. . .

April 17

Emma's floor exercise. Yep, that's my eight year old!

April 16

Here are a two of the completed paintings. I think to date I have completed and framed about thirty small florals. Many have been gifted, and some have wound up as a part of the "permanent collection." Meaning Jane hung them at the house. I think I just passed up my father-in-law and now I have more of my paintings in my home than I have of his.

April 15

One of Lady's kits taking a little snooze. I am not sure which kitten this is but it is either Tally, Stella, Fife or Sterling.

April 14

The next day I saw a sliver of hope. The tree in the front yard is begining to bloom. Ahhh, spring time!

April 13

April 13, April 13, April 13. . . . . .I keep telling myself that, but there is still snow on the ground! I shot this as I headed off to work. . . . . . April 13!

April 12

This is part of the reason why I missed and will be missing a few photo days. Jane asked me if I would do a bunch of paintings that she could use as thank you gifts for the hosts of Annie's wedding events. This is where the paintings started.

April 11

Sorry to say it but between now and June 22 you are going to see a lot of these blank days. I'll do my best to "keep up" but the bosses (Jane and Annie) have me hoppin'!

April 10

So Jane asked me if I would "just run over to the unit and get the green sofa for Annie" If you look carefully you can see a little of the arm of the sofa in the left hand corner of the unit.
